The season of autumn may be one of the most favorite seasons of the people in the southern hemisphere. This is because of the cooling weather minus the chill factor that allows the people to continue live without any hassles caused by the extreme temperatures during the summer or during the winter.

Autumn also signals an important turn in the world: fashion. It’s the time to show off the coats, overalls, and even boots. This is the time to flaunt and add clothing pieces without risking to be labeled as overdressed or fashionably exaggerated.

The fashion statements in any season do not just come out as they are. Most of the time, they are guided by a higher factor in the fashion world which are called color trends. Generally speaking, color trends do not just put the color schemes in any fashion. They, at some point or extent, dictate the fashion pieces that would come out in a certain season.

The season of autumn is a very tricky season in that most people believe it is a “sad” or “lonely” season because of the gloomy season that it represents. This is also reinforced by the falling of the leaves and the feeling of a slowing down in the pacing of life. The color trends for fall should therefore divert people’s perspective of the season of autumn as a sad season. However, the color trends should also not be “trying hard” in the way that it is already portraying fall as another season such as the summer or spring.

For Autumn, the color trends are much the same as the last year’s albeit, with more statements including powerful tones, and gradient patterns. Burnt colors, rusty reds are in.

The first color of Autumn 2012 is burnt orange. Burnt orange gives a more lively, upbeat, dynamic, and even positive feel for the color of autumn. The changing color of the leaves even how bright they are could not seem to counter the effect of the motion of “falling” to exude a feeling of sadness. However, the tone and gradient of “burnt” gives a positive and exciting feel for the season of Fall.

Still on the burnt color trends, one more color to add is burnt red. Red is still very “autumn-ly” as evident in the leaves during the Fall season. Red is more positive than that of the orange because it also signals the onset of the Christmas season.

The added point for the burnt colors for this Fall season is that both burnt orange and burnt red color trends can be used for both sexes. Women and men can choose clothing pieces and even accessories in this color. The colors also match and blend with all types of skin tone. Moreover, these colors are very good to match with the black or white hue whether tops or bottoms.

They say that the streets are an endless catwalk for the fashion conscious. This becomes essentially true especially during the Autumn season. There is something in Autumn that allows for more room to be fashion forward and an eagerness to join the fashion badnwagon. Suddenly, people who do not have an amour for fashion, becomes very welcoming to the changes in the fashion scene. Even the most ordinary person becomes aware that the streets become a fashion runway.

The changes in the temperature and the visual environment can be the triggers to a changing fashion. Because the temperature suddenly becomes cooler, the people suddenly feel the need for more articles of clothing. And as they do not want to cover themselves with blankets or quilts, people desire for a more fashionably acceptable pieces of clothing.

The fashion world is able to solve these fashion problems and prevent fashion faux pas by creating themes every season. These themes are the center for the creation and selling of the different fashion elements such as the basic clothing, added articles of clothing, shoes, bags, and even accessories.

Autumn fashion themes are mostly influenced by past fashion themes that were just modified and value-added to be applicable and fit for the Fall. For Autumn 2012, the fashion world goes backward to gain inspiration from the powerful decade of 1960s, fashionably speaking.

The 1960s are mostly remembered as the English/British inspired generation of fashion. Although the revival of the 1960s fashion has been around for some time already, this Fall will witness a massive time travel back to the sixties with the latest inspirations from the said decade.

Who does not remember the mini skirts with pleats that are tunic-y and printed? How about the block, high-heeled, mary janes? This Autumn, the 1960s theme will come alive again.

The fashion components of block colos for tops and bottoms will be available again. Bright blue green and orange will be available for this Autumn. This is for both men and women. The graphic prints of usually geometrically inspired patterns like irregular shapes will also be a highlight for Autumn 2012’s fashion themes.

For a more feminine touch, the 1960s also offered pieces of clothing that are predominantly made of lace. This is for a more soft and feminine looking, yet very 1960s. This is an option to those who do not want to go all the way for the block style.

Because the main concept is still for Autumn, capes and swing coats will complement the 1960s inspired themes. The coats and capes will provide the function component in giving the protection against low temperatures.

In addition, penny loafer like shoes that are masculine looking will be the best seller as foot wear, even for ladies, to partner with their tops or bottoms.

Accessories like small, square-ish handbags that are made of leather are going to be in style again. Drop earrings will be the main accessories for the fashion theme of the 1960

A fashion statement cannot claim that it is a stand alone statement in itself. The whole world of fashion is all about integration and collaboration of different facets and components, to create the statement that is looked for or applicable in a certain season.

One example is the season of Autumn. This season is a very tricky season to give a fashion statement. This is because it is a mix of a depressing season, and a season to celebrate as well. Most people are forgiving of the fashion statements during Autumn, because coats and overalls are very much welcome to endure the low temperatures. People usually would say that it is encouraging to dress-up during autumn because of the cool temperature and the picturesque background of falling leaves and the emptiness of the trees.

A fashion statement is never a stand alone because it needs color trends and more importantly, a theme. A theme is the overall guide of a season when it comes to creating and following a fashion statement. For this Autumn, a guiding theme is set in place in order to direct the fashion trends and even the purchases of people. The theme becomes the marketing strategy and the directional guide altogether.

For the Autumn 2012, the 1970s theme is still a favored theme, albeit, the 1960s theme is also big on the radar. The 1970s theme is highly favored because fashionistas claim that this theme has never been out from the fashion scene. The 1970s is an era that never runs out of fashion ideas. The 1970s is still alive this Autumn.

The main clothing pieces of this era are the high-wasted pants that are widely flared at the bottom. The pants are usually belted to accentuate the waist. This piece is not only applicable to women, but for the men as well. The pants are usually coupled with blouses that are neat-bow, blouses that are billowing, or blouses with bishop sleeves. These pieces are best with a satin or silk like fabric. The glow is still the trademark of the 1970s because it is also known as the disco era.

Because it is the Autumn season, roll neck sweaters that are tucked into the skirts or pants are the best options for fashion and comfort. It can be accentuated by a vest or a lay over that are covered with beads. This can be paried with a hot pants that illuminate. This pair of clothing can be worn even at work or any day time activity.

For the evening glamour, slinky gowns that are long can be a perfect choice as long as it drapes and has long slits. Maxi dresses or mini dresses worn with big belts that give a loud statement is also very 1970s. A coat with metalic fiber can give the autumn component.

All the clothing pieces can be complemented by high boots that go with them. Handbags that are small but with a long strap are the best accessory for the 70s feel.

We often forget the importance of nail polishes and the positive effect nicely painted nails can have on an outfit. During the winter months women tend to paint their nails in neutral or dark colors but as soon as the weather starts getting better, nails follow and the entire palette of yellows, reds, greens or blues becomes the most common sight. Summer is the time to ditch heavy clothes, gloves and footwear and expose your body in all those gorgeous outfits, strappy sandals, peep toe pumps and flip-flops.

When it comes to picking a nail polish color, there is that creative and artistic element to it. You get to chose your favorite colors and decide whether you’re going to match them with your outfits or chose a completely mismatching style to accent your hands and feet and express your personality. Heavily decorated with sparkles, beads, crushed shells, dried flowers or other types of nail art, nails become an important accessory almost like jewelry so whether your nails are short or long, you can’t let them remain unpolished and out of style this summer.

Summertime is perfect for wearing all those bright nail polish colors you didn’t feel confident enough to put on during the winter. Whether is orange, lime green or something from the neon color specter, anything goes as long as it’s bright, shiny and eye-catching. Fashion experts agree that orange, golden, yellowish and burning red tones look the best on sun kissed skin. So, don’t forget to throw in some of those in your make-up bag before you go for a vacation. If you like experimenting and changing your look, taking a little bit of time to do your nails before you hit the beach won’t represent a problem. Candy pink nails are going to make you sweeter than those cocktails at the beach bar, sparkly golden nails will turn you into a sun goddess and bright red will go perfectly with your new Caribbean beauty tan.

If you, however, don’t have the time, skill or the patience to do your nails on your own, you can always pay a visit to a beauty salon and get your manicure and pedicure done by a professional. There are plenty of techniques to fix even the shortest and the most brittle nails and make them glamorous, long and strong. UV gel or acrylic reinforcement or lengthening combined with special 3D and 2D nail art is going to turn your nails into a masterpiece everybody will notice and you won’t have to spend a second fixing them afterwards.

The dress codes have changed significantly over the past years and this is especially the case with nightclubs. In the 80′s men were required to be dressed down in ties and suits at clubs. That has changed, most places now have a more relaxed dress code. Nevertheless, you still want to dress to impress. It’s best to mix things up a bit, wear what suits your personal style and wear men’s shirts that others don’t have. The best way to find this is with custom dress shirts or slim fit dress shirts.

The Fit

We can’t say it enough, the fit of your men’s shirts is a really important part of your look. If you have something that resembles an athletic body, we would highly recommend going after a tailored slim fit shirt, these fits as mentioned earlier are not super tight, but do follow the contours of your body.

The Striped Dress Shirt

Often at nightclubs you spot a frenzy of striped dress shirts. There are great patterns out there and lots to choose from. If you wear a striped shirt, but sure to consider your physique. For example striped dress shirts make shorter men look taller and tall men look even taller. Don’t want to look taller? Then skip the striped dress shirts.

Also try to avoid striped shirts, or any dress shirt for that matter that has more than two colors, at most three colors on it. A flurry of color usually gives the rainbow effect rather than anything that will impress at a nightclub.

Be aware though the slightly bold striped dress shirts or any patterned dress shirts, even if they are great looking is that they will stand out and people notice it more than a dress shirt suited for the office. Remember a bold dress shirt will get noticed more, which means if you can’t wear it as often as people will think you are wearing it all the time.

Another idea is to stay away from striped blazers if you’re already wearing a striped dress shirt. Wearing ties to nightclubs is a gamble either you’ll have enough style to pull it off or you’ll look out of place. If you must wear a tie, try a slim tie which will give you a modern look without looking too formal.

Solid Dress Shirt Colors

You can never go wrong with the solid black dress shirt. It looks good with any color pants and if those pants are black you’ll be looking even taller than you actually are. That actually counts for any color if you wear it on your upper body and lower body.

Equally classic and useful is the white dress shirt with pink quickly becoming more popular for men.

All in all, follow your style and don’t be dictated by the raving fashion people out there. What ever makes you more comfortable makes you more confident.

Aquamarines are naturally occurring gem stones from beryl family. Its other famous cousins include garnet and emerald. They make great center stones for jewelry of any setting. By taking good care of them today, your gold aquamarine rings should stay beautiful in times to come, maybe even after it has been passed over several generations.

Aquamarines have a hardness of 7.5 to 8 in the Mohs hardness scale, which means it is relatively hardy. All you need for a good cleaning are some mild soap, a brush down with a soft toothbrush and a soft cloth for drying, preferably 100% cotton. Here are other things to keep in mind:

1. Store your gold aquamarine rings separately in its box away from other jewelry to prevent it from scratching other jewelry and them from scratching it. This applies to both its gold setting and the stone itself. A stone that is harder like a diamond has the potential to scratch the aquamarine.

2. Be careful when and where you’re wearing your gold aquamarine ring. If you work a lot with your hands, such as gardening, then it is not advisable to wear it when you are working to protect it from being scratched experience sharp blows. Similarly, if you work somewhere where there is a possibility of exposure to harsh chemicals, like a hospital or lab, for instance, likewise don’t wear it at work. The chemicals can potentially damage your gold aquamarine ring.

3. It is advised not to wear gold aquamarine rings in a swimming pool or hot tub as gem stones, metals and even gold can be damaged due to chlorine . If in a very busy swimming pool, you can accidentally hit your ring against the edge and loosen the setting.

4. When going out for the night, you’d probably want to show off that beautiful ring to your friends, right? Won’t they just turn green with envy. But remember, when preparing for the night out, don’t wear the ring when you’re putting on your makeup or hairspray. They contain chemicals that can be harmful to jewelry. Aquamarines are porous, so any liquid that sits on it will eventually seep into it and leave unsightly stains. Only slip that ring on your finger after you are ready to leave.

5. If you are someone who works outdoors frequently, like a Sales Executive who travels a lot, it’s not advisable to wear the gold aquamarine ring all the time. Sunlight can make the color of aquamarine lighter.

6. Heat is another thing that has the ability to affect your gold aquamarine ring. Don’t keep your ring near a heating vent, window sill or the car. Heat can affect the quality of aquamarines in a number of ways such as fading its color and brilliance. It can also affect the setting because gold reacts to heat. Gold also tarnishes with heat. The best place to keep your gold aquamarine ring is somewhere cool and dark.

Bearing these helpful tips in mind should help you keep your gold aquamarine rings in perfect conditions in times to come and even to be passed down for generations.
