Most ladies have fetishes that are beyond reason. Most have shoe fetish. Others have a make-up fetish. Still, some have dress fetish. How about bag fetish? Notice the central theme of these fetishes? You got that right- fashion!

The perfect romance and love affair that a woman can have is not of a partner or the man of her dreams. A woman’s love story is only perfect, simple, and uncomplicated with her love affair with fashion. Let us zoom in on the most raved about love stories of all time: the love affair with shoes.

Notice how women drool over the glass upon seeing that Jimmy Choo pumps? How about women who sit on the edge of the couch just to get a closer glimpse of Beyonce- wear a Christian Loubotin? The I-want-those-heels statements are a normal part of a woman’s conversation and even a conversation with her mind and conscience.

Check a woman’s credit card statement- yes, the oldest and even the recent ones. Next to groceries are shoes, shoes, shoes, shoes, and a payment for utilities maybe? Women are understandably investing for their future- their future with their beloved. Sorry men, it is still her shoes.

How do women walk on her and her shoes’ first date? She walks like a beauty queen on the runway called 15th avenue. She makes sure that her all black ensemble will give so much emphasis and due credit to her red stilletos. You have to look on her red stilletos!

Why do women start a fight in a subway? You insulted her date silly! You stepped on a 1200 dollar shoes! What do you expect? No, she is not mad that her foot hurts. She is mad that your muddy shoe has the guts to step on her brand new love!

Women care and treat their shoes like they are babies. Look at how they neatly arrange their shoes on their beds- err shoe rack. Look at how a woman will clean-up her shoes first before they retire to bed. And what makes her fall asleep? No, it is not a sweet good night from a man nor a story book about happy endings. It is taking solace in the fact that her shoes are all right. She can then sleep with a smile on her face, excited to see all of them in the morning.

It is still a mystery how shoes can have so much power on women to make the most strong-willed women at their mercy. Look at how a woman gives all her paycheck to the latest addition to the spring collection!

The love affair with shoes are a mixture of a legally binding and illicit affair. People may and may not approve of the love affair at some point in time with so many different reasons. To the woman, no amount of opposition can take her away from her love affair with shoes. To her, they are the best partner that she can ever have, even forever.

In a season of diverse inspirations, the shoes have come from the bottom of the ocean, the black and white femme fatale Hollywood glamor, the prairie and the urban sportswear in variations from kitten heels to the highest of high platforms. Shoes are exciting this season, and you will love the amazing trends that will surely captivate your senses. Take these very simple cues and you will love the amazing glamor of the 2011 shoe trends. All are inspiring and certainly all women from all over the world would want to take hints from these amazing trends.

Opulence and sex

For 2011, shoes go from kitten heels to sky high stilettos in impeccable treatments, from chunky crystals to minuscule embroidery. The designs exude sensational appeal and dynamism that appeal on many of the designs that are seen this summer season. There is a dangerous woman on heels of Lanvin in a sleek leather pump with rounded tip, an angular heel and ankles bound by leather and chain. The Dior woman is vampy and ready for the kill in immaculate ultra-high platforms and wedges in red satin or in black leather with mesh insets.

A creature of sorts

Alexander McQueen’s eponymous Armadillo shoes for spring exude the needed drama and appeal. The shows were worn by Lady Gaga for her Bad Romance MTV and were worked by Daphne Guinness for one of her fantastical outings. Of course, non-literal numbers come in various kinds and finishes of skins from snake to leather, to pony hair.

Romance at the prairie

There is a romance with the clogs at Chanel. Though a bit chunky, when paired with whispers of chiffon and layers of it, just like in Karl Lagerfeld’s designs, the clogs exude that prairie girls prancing along the fields. Bottega Veneta’s raffia wedge is a very desirable piece that captures classic appeal but with a modern edge. This one is great show to have for summer. In a better-heeled version, the Nina Ricci leather bootie with lace detailing captures a drama of pretty and sensuality all at once. It really stirs the mind to the drama of black and white movies where a woman desires to leave for the city.

Sporty and sPRINTy

In a more urban direction, we got Alexander Wang and his zippered bootie in army fatigue colors. He evoked the sportiness and discipline into sexy desirable looks. In a more futuristic approach, Balenciaga’s Nicholas Ghesquire created another masterpiece with Pierre Hardy by creating a marbled shoe with plastic elements and a strong silhouette. Balmain took on studs and utilitarian appeal in a lace up boots in military green color, filled with studs. Givenchy took the digital prints this season and created an ultra-high bandage wedge platform with optical prints.

According to olsenHaus, their shoes are “100% cruelty–free, using only non-animal materials that are environmentally friendly.” In making vegan shoes, olsenHaus uses materials that include synthetic eco-lining, organic cotton, canvas, ultra suede, cork, and more. olsenHaus shoes are never tested on animals and are created in venues carefully inspected to ensure they uphold moral labor and environmental practices.

One of our favorites by olsenHaus is the Blondie boot, made with faux suede and faux patent. This chic boot is shown here in storm and black and would look fabulous over a pair of tights with a funky dress. Another shoe we love for girl’s night out is the Brazil, which features a very high magenta stiletto heel.

We were thrilled to see that not only are the products durable and heavy-duty, but also extremely fashionable. The thick rubber soles insulate the feet from the cold ground and give the wearer the added bonus of making him a little bit taller. Don’t leave junior in the dust! Kids need quality footwear too and we noted Sorel’s Rainbou as a simple and stylish boot for a boy or a girl. They come in a variety of colors and are an easy-on, easy-off piece of footwear. This is a two-in-one boot because the liner provides warmth on cold days, but is removable so they can be worn as lightweight rain boot on warm summer days.

While Sorel has been around since 1962, we love the updated look it is bringing us for 2009. And we are not the only ones with our eye on Sorel, Vogue TV just recognized the company on their “60 Second to Chic” show, calling the boots a timeless classic. From a walk outside on a snowy night to an après ski party in Cortina, these boots are a recognizable combination of sturdiness, lavishness and style.
