Trends and fashion can differ from one country to another but there is at least one global trend nowadays- Going green in every aspect. It started with recycling waste, continued with the exploration and increased usage of renewable, non-toxic, energy sources and now, the runways are going green too.
Young, creative designers are using recycled plastic bags and other materials to make some of the most amazing pieces of wardrobe and footwear. Lingerie designers are following the Green trend, too and pointing out the health benefits of wearing natural materials like cotton, hemp, bamboo and natural silk. These materials are comfortable to wear, have anti-inflammatory properties and, once you discard them, they’re going to get back in the processing chain and come out as something completely different but equally useful. So, if you thought a plastic bag has served it’s purpose once you took the groceries out of it, what would you think about these stylish ankle boots made from the same plastic bags you have thrown away?

Although all this may sound shocking at first, Green Fashion proved to be both great-looking and environment friendly. After all, knowing that we are doing everything we can to this world a better place for our children and grandchildren is the satisfaction no shopping spree can provide, right? Well, yes, but why choose when you can have them both! Fashion companies realized the need for sustainable life on this planet, played with the idea a little bit and the results are the same fabulous styles we can’t go without but, this time, labeled eco and earth friendly. Ever thought about getting a fish skin purse? No? Well, after seeing these colorful babies you will probably change your mind.

Natural 100% cotton, glamorous, soft natural silk and wool are slowly replacing the cheaper, synthetic materials and are becoming the hot pick of both celebrities and regular people. And, contrary to many beliefs, being stylish and taking care of the planet isn’t the expensive sport reserved only for rich and famous. The popularization of eco friendly fashion ideas introduced many new brands specialized in producing and offering eco clothes only for some really affordable prices. So raising the environmental awareness and fashion do go together after all. The question is: How green are you willing to go?
